🌎 Our Story
Intercultural Fest is more than an organization — it is a cultural and community movement born in 2016 from the vision of its founder, Constanza Sweeney. As an immigrant in the United States, Constanza faced challenges such as language barriers and the absence of close networks. Guided by resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to service, she transformed those obstacles into opportunities to build bridges across communities.
Her journey of impact began long before Intercultural Fest was founded. Over the years, Constanza mobilized entire communities to save lives, support children with disabilities, repatriate loved ones, and provide resources to families in need. Each event she organized became more than a fundraiser — it became a celebration of culture, unity, and shared humanity.
From organizing relief after natural disasters in Guatemala and Mexico, to collaborating with consulates, hospitals, and foundations in Georgia, her work proved a simple truth: culture has the power to connect hearts, revitalize local economies, foster inclusion, and inspire resilience.
In 2016, this vision took form as Intercultural Fest LLC, a cultural and community platform dedicated to creating festivals, workshops, and initiatives that celebrate diversity and empower communities. At the same time, to ensure long-term sustainability and maximize community impact, she established the Intercultural Fest Foundation 501(c)(3) — a nonprofit branch that provides scholarships for youth volunteers, supports leadership development, and expands access to health, education, and social services.
Together, these two arms work with one shared mission: to unite communities, strengthen trust, and open doors of opportunity through culture.
This spirit of unity inspired our guiding motto: “All of Us Under One Flag.”
A white flag — symbol of peace and love — chosen to represent a world without borders, where cultures come together to celebrate their roots and build a stronger, more inclusive future.
